Practical Stewardship for Latah County
Good stewardship starts with listening. I will make time to hear from residents, community members, farmers, and business owners leaders so county decisions reflect the needs and values of the people who live here.
Thoughtful planning helps communities thrive and protects what makes Latah County special. I will focus on long-term planning that balances economic opportunity, infrastructure needs, and stewardship of our rural landscapes.
County government should follow through on its commitments. I will work to ensure county programs, budgets, and infrastructure projects are managed efficiently and deliver real results for our communities.
Latah County is a special place to live, work, and raise a family. I’m running for County Commissioner because strong communities depend on thoughtful planning, responsible stewardship of public resources, and local government that listens to the people it serves.
For more than twenty years, my career in public service has focused on managing complex programs, strengthening accountability, and improving how government works for the public. I believe county government should be practical, transparent, and focused on real results for residents.
As Commissioner, I will bring my experience in strategic planning, financial oversight, and regional collaboration to help guide responsible growth, maintain essential infrastructure, and ensure Latah County remains a place where communities and rural landscapes can thrive together.
County government must manage taxpayer dollars carefully and transparently. I will focus on responsible budgeting, long-term planning, and ensuring county programs deliver real value for residents.
Growth should strengthen our communities while protecting the rural character and natural resources that define Latah County. I support thoughtful planning that respects property rights, supports agriculture, and prepares our infrastructure for the future.
County government works best when cities, rural communities, and regional partners work together. I will prioritize collaboration to address shared challenges and opportunities across Latah County.
Residents deserve county government that is efficient, responsive, and easy to work with. I specialize in improving systems and processes so public services are delivered clearly, reliably, and with accountability.
I have spent my career working in public service, managing programs that require careful planning, strong financial oversight, and collaboration across agencies and communities.
I currently work for the Washington State Department of Health, where I lead performance management and strategic planning for a large public health office. My work focuses on tracking results, improving efficiency, and ensuring accountability in programs funded by taxpayers and federal grants.
Earlier in my career, I managed multimillion-dollar conservation and infrastructure programs that brought more than $25 million in state and federal investment to our region. That work involved coordinating agencies, managing budgets, writing contracts, and ensuring projects delivered meaningful results.
I also serve on the board of Palouse Prairie Charter School, where I have been Treasurer and Secretary and help raise more than $30,000 each year for student programs.
My family and I live outside Moscow, where we are raising our family and caring for our small farm.
